You might be wondering where my brolly is. Well, I don't have one. I don't know why but if I use a brolly I always come home without it. I dread to think how much money I've spent on them over the years. This is why I don't have kids, I cant even supervise a brolly.

Cappuccino is a bit of a weird thing to carry around but what can I say, I'm a weirdo. I'm set in my ways and need to be prepared if I'm at someones house and they offer me a cuppa. 

I keep all the smaller bits inside an organza bag to save them getting lost forever.

Shopping My Stash #6

I'm 2 days late with this one! I usually shop my stash on sunday's and the post goes up on the same day but I've only just been able to snap some pics so Tuesday will have to do.

Vichy Thermal Spa Water: I'm still on a mission to make a dent in my mountain of half used products.I really enjoyed using this in Summer and it did seem to make a difference when my skin was feeling extra irritated but like everything else, it got pushed to the side and I started using something else. In the warmer months this thermal water feels really refreshing on the skin as it's really cooling but I'm sure it'll feel more like torture in this cold weather.

Clarins Liquid Bronze Self Tan For Face & Decollete: I've barely used this since I reviewed it back in June (link) and to be honest I'd completely forgotten about it. I'm pale all year round but like everyone else I'm paler in Winter. My dark circles are more apparent and my skin looks alot less healthy. I find this face tanner great for disguising the look of dark circles and it does give a natural, healthy looking glow. I need to start applying this every other night.

Stila Eye Shadow 'Kitten': Kitten is one of my most recent purchases and something I've wanted for a long time. The texture is buttery soft and the colour is similar to what I always go for so I'm sure I'll love it.

Papier Poudre Blotting Paper*: I don't know why but my forehead has turned into a disco ball. I can't even describe it - it's oily but even when there's no oil it still look's shiny like someone is following me around all day shining a light on my head. These blotting papers from Papier Poudre are coated in oil absorbing powder and should hopefully help my forehead look alot less 'glowy'.

Daniel Sandler Lipshine Lipstick 'Hush'*: Hush is a really easy to wear everyday colour. I reviewed it back in September (link) but since then I've been more into lip stains and Hush has been slipping deeper into the lipstick box of no return. It's non drying and should keep my lips feeling nice and soft in this ice cold weather.

Little BU Non-Toxic Nail Polish

When I first received the press release for Little BU polishes I instantly knew they were something I wanted to try out for myself.

Patricia Dente Hames, the creator of Little BU spent her early years playing with nail polish in her mothers salon. Her passion grew and not only did she have a successful career as a beauty publicist in New York City but she also collaborated with branding experts to launch campaigns for brands such as Chanel and Estee Lauder.

Little BU is a nail polish brand with a difference - the formula is non-toxic, water-based and can be washed off with water and hand wash. I don't have kids but I remember always pestering my mum to paint my nails. She never would as she didn't want me breathing in the overpowering fumes and I know alot of mothers feel the same when it come's to painting their childs nails. Little BU is free from dibutyl phthalate, formaldehyde and toluene. Contains no phthalates, Bisphenol A, ethyl acetate or acetone. Is vegan friendly and not tested on animals. Not only does it wash off the nails with soap and water but if tiny hands manage to spill some on their clothes it washes straight out.

I've tried them out for myself and they really do wash off, leaving no sticky traces of gloop behind on the nails. There's so many different colours and finishes to choose from and application is quick and easy: After applying 2 coats blow dry the nails on low heat for 30 seconds to set but if your child (or you) want to keep it on a bit longer you just need to seal the polish with  top coat. I think it's a brilliant idea and the polishes are really good quality which shocked me as usually make up/nail polish for kids is almost unusable.

L'Oreal Color Riche Nail Swatches

When it comes to nail polish, these itty bitty bottles of brilliant-ness from L'Oreal can do no wrong in my eyes. I can't fault the formula, it's one of the best I've ever tried and completely make's all other nail polish brands look wishy washy in comparison. The paddle brush makes application a breeze and the high gloss finish gives a professional salon look to your digits. My all time favourite (and most repurchased) nail polish 'Opera Ballerina' is from the Color Riche line so it was only a matter of time before I delved deeper.

404 Scarlet Vamp is my kind of red. It's deep, has no orange tones (although it look's like it does in the photos) and it doesn't make me feel like a granny. Scarlet Vamp is what I would describe as blood red, it's alot darker and richer in real life. The photos show how well it wears. I painted my nails 4 nights ago and just refreshed it with another lick of top coat today but there still isn't any chips or sign of tip wear.



805 Mysteriousicon is a unique colour to my collection. I don't think I own anything similar and it just jumped out at me from the display stand.


818 Sweet Amethyst is a one coater and glides onto the nail like liquid metal but as with all metallic polishes it leaves behind obvious brush strokes and highlights any ridges/imperfections you may have.  I love the rose gold colour in the bottle but against my skin tone it doesn't really work. I didn't use top coat with this one to show what I mean about it highlighting what we want to hide.

I used 2 coats of each polish for this post along with Nails Inc Kensington Caviar Top & Base Coat with Scarlet Vamp and Mysteriousicon.

Thanks to my Boots, Superdrug and Debenhams Beauty Cards I was able to get a few bargains plus I had a £20 Boots voucher.

And because it's almost Christmas I've been in the mood for baking. I'm not the best, I'm probably the worst. The only thing I can make (that is edible) is pavlova. My cakes and buns are similar in weight and texture to that of a brick so I've given up in that area but I LOVE shortbread and am determined to make some for Christmas. I've tried a few times and they either end up like rubber or concrete but I'm not giving up just yet and bought some cute cookie cutters to atleast make my feeble attempts look nice.

Within the wide range of bath and body products, candles and eau de parfum, this Wild Fig & Grape Bath Syrup caught my eye straight away. Bath Syrup, how lovely does that sound? I practically live in the bath during the colder months and am always on the hunt for gorgeous bath products. If they create masses of bubbles then that's even better.

Wild Fig & Grape Bath Syrup is presented inside an attractive sturdy box which arrives wrapped in pink tissue paper. The bottle itself is frosted glass with a little leaf tied around the neck. It's weighty, feel's really luxe and would make a great Christmas gift for any bath lover! Di Palomo definitely get an A+ for presentation with this one. The syrup is a deep rich red colour and once poured into warm, running water you're met with a subtle, fresh figgy scent and a mountain of pure white bubbles. A blend of oils, extracts and natural moisturisers make up the syrup and although it contains SLS my skin wasn't irritated at all.
