The Lip Product Addict TAG!

1. Favourite balm/treatment? There are so many great lip treatments out there but there's one which instantly made a difference to the condition of my lips from the very use, Lanolips.

2. Best eye-catching red? Sephora's own line of make up is fantastic and the Cream Lip Stain in 'Strawberry Kissed' has been a firm favourite of mine since 2012. A long lasting power pout with a matte finish,

3. Best luxury and best drug store? I don't own many luxury lip products, there are so many great lipsticks out there for under a fiver but if I had to choose one it would be YSL Rouge Volupte in Peach Passion as it was from Lina and whats not to love about that packaging? Max Factor Bewitching Coral wins when it comes to drug store. The colour is stunning and lasts all day.

4. Best MAC lipstick? Creme Cup is my most used MAC lippy but Speak Louder wins this time. It's in my favourite finish, cremesheen, and makes my teeth appear whiter plus it stains the lips for hours.

5. The most disappointing? I've been thinking about this question for ages and honestly can't think of any other than Model Co Shine Ultra Lip Gloss in Strip Tease it's string city in a tube. Can't believe it's almost 20 quid, so glad I picked it up as a magazine freebie.

6. Liner, yes or no? I have no time for liner, it looks way too obvious on me and I always end up with a wonky mouth. When I do use liner though, I use it all over like a lipstick.

7. Best gloss? Armed with a Debenhams gift card and sucked in my the blurb, this was a blind buy but one I ended up loving. The Dior Addict Lip Polish Spin-On Lacquer Smoothing Glow may have a stupidly long name but it's a fantastic gloss.

8. Something extra? My most recent lip discovery is the Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Pink Pop. It has the most gorgeous shine with just the right amount of colour, I feel all springy and summery every time I use it.

I tag all of you! :)

Love: MAC Paint Pots 'Rubenesque' & 'Painterly'

I have a confession to make: MAC is a brand I love to hate. It all started years ago when I walked into MAC asking for a foundation. I left the counter with my purse almost 100 quid lighter and looking like I was off to take part in a drag act. I was froze in the chair with fear, I couldn't take my eye's of the SA's fancy dress style makeup and from then untill I started this blog I never went back. I hated the foundation they recommended for my skin, it made me look like a bright pink wax work! Within half an hour my face looked like it was melting and the brush (187): match made in hell.

It wasn't untill I joined the blogging world that I decided I needed to get me some MAC lippies. I went for the Cremesheen formula and guess what, I loved them! The next thing I went for was a Mineral Skin Finish in Soft & Gentle which I also love and after reading countless rave reviews on the eyeshadows I felt the need to buy some - hated them. I swore I wasn't going to try anything else from the brand but I'm so glad my curiosity got the better of me.

Top: Painterly | Bottom: Rubenesque
I recently ordered 2 Paint Pots: Painterly & Rubenesque. Painterly looks like the most boring shade I've ever laid eyes on but it's also the most useful. I don't wear eyeshadow everyday but my eyelids have a lot of discolouration which needs covered up. Painterly covers EVERYTHING and matches my eyelid colour perfectly. It's one of those products that instantly make you look better but no one knows you're wearing anything. It can be used as a base for other shadows but I only use it on it's own to create a clean eye look with lashings of mascara. I've even used it under my eyes when I'm having a lazy day and my dark circles aren't too bad. Painterly is a product everyone should own. Rubenesque unlike Painterly isn't at all boring to look at and is so easy to swipe on when you're in a rush. I don't go to town with my eye makeup for daytime looks, I don't often bother adding a darker colour in the crease. I'm a one lid colour girl so products like this are perfect for me. It can be sheered out for a really subtle look or you can layer it up for more colour pay off.

The texture is really creamy but dries down once on the lid and doesn't budge or crease on me at all. I love both and NEED to get more. What shades should I try next?

Were you late getting on the Paint Pot Train like me?
Do you own these shades?

MAC Paint Pots £14.50 from MAC. I ordered mine from Debenhams to make sure I got my Beauty Club Card points.

Whats In My [everyday, no-brainer] Makeup Bag..

Make up bag from River Island a few years ago. Theres a plastic coating over the fabric so its easy to wipe off any grubby finger prints.

I dont use everything in this pic everyday, some I never use at all (Collection2000 concealer) but all these products require almost no thought or effort which is why they're in my everyday bag.

Urban Decay Naked Palette
Urban Decay Primer Potion
Laura Geller The Real Deal Concealer (this stuff is hardcore)
Murad Skin Perfecting Primer, Dewy Finish
Technic Natural Lashes (a cheapy clear mascara that I use on my brows, its rubbish and has almost no hold at all)
Virgin Vie Straight & Narrow Liquid Liner (black)
Virgin Vie Black Velvet Liner

MAC MSF Soft & Gentle
Laura Geller Balance -N- Brighten
Laura Geller Blush -N- Brighten in Roseberry

Benefit Brow Zings (dark)
Collection2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer (I know I'm the minority but I hate this with a passion)
L'Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara
YSL Touche Eclat

Max Factor Bewitching Coral (how orange does it look in this pic. On my lips it shows up really pinky, I love it)
Mac Creme Cup

Bellapiere Eyeshadow in Gold & Brown
MAC 187
Clarins Instant Light, Natural Lip Perfector 01
Maybelline Gloss in Cosmic Pink
L'Oreal Brush

I've lost my Liz Earle Sheer Skin Tint, Have no clue where I've left it! So I'm having to use up the rest of the samples I had. Bet it shows up in the fridge or some other random place. Anyone else have a habit of putting things in stupid places? Is it just me who puts the kettle in the fridge and milk in the sink?

Mini MAC Haul.

After convincing myself that I didnt need anything from MAC, and how its not worth all the hype that surrounds it etc, I caved and ordered an MSF in Soft & Gentle and another lippy just happened to accidentally on purpose fall into my basket. I placed my order through Debenhams last week as I had a discount code and these babies arrived this morning just as I was getting Ready to go out.

Did I need it? No! Did I want it? No, atleast not untill I saw Boscy The Bad Influence mention it but I love it, so glad I caved. The lippy I went for is Speak Louder

Swatched
It's alot more pink in real life than its coming across in the pics and its even pink-er once on the lips but I really like it. If you're not into bright lips then stay well away from this shade.

Went into Boots earlier and picked up Sally Hansen Insta-Dry so I'll be testing it out over the next week or so and I'll let you all know how it compares to my beloved Nails Inc Kensington Caviar Top-Coat.
