What's In My Makeup Bag: We Were Raised By Wolves

Hi everyone, I'm Evelyn from We Were Raised By Wolves. Fran asked me if I'd liked to do a 'What's In My Make-Up Bag?' post for her, so of course I had to say yes because I love reading these posts myself!  Whenever I travel, I generally like to keep things simple, but always manage to pack everything I need.  The make-up bag itself is from Boots years ago, and it's like a Tardis/Mary Poppins bag because it fits so much in, yet looks quite small!  I'm not sure how it does this, but I'm certainly not complaining.

Inside I currently have terre d'Oc BB Cream Foundation which is my current go-to make-up base.  It gives a nice light, all over evened out coverage and feels really nourishing on the skin.  I often pack something like this because I can apply it with my fingers so there's no need for me to include an extra brush or anything.

To go with that base, I have three concealers.  Perricone MD No Concealer Concealer is what I use to correct my dark circles with, and then I apply a tiny bit of Collection Illuminating Touch Concealer in Natural over the top with my Real Techniques Deluxe Crease Brush to add some more coverage.  If I have any blemishes, I'll go over them with Murad Blemish Treatment Concealer which works a treat.

I'm usually very lazy when it comes to doing detailed eye make-up on the go so I generally just take one base colour.  MAC Paintpot in Rubenesque has been a long time favourite of mine when travelling because I don't have to use a seperate eye primer underneath.  It's a beautiful shimmery coppery, almost rose gold shade that really brightens up tired eyes, yet looks very wearable for daytime.  To finish off the eyes, I'll line them with Soap & Glory Smoulder Kohl in Black, curl them with my trusty Shu Uemura Eyelash Curlers and apply two coats of Lavera's Intense Volumising Mascara in Black.  The mascara isn't really super volumising or anything as the name would suggest, but I really like the easy to wear formula of it for everyday.

Like eyes, I like to keep the lips simple with just one product.  Revlon Just Kissable Balm Stain in Honey is fantastic for being fuss-free and I love this pink shade when it's freshly applied, as well as it when it just leaves a subtle stain as the day wears on.  I always like to contour my chipmunk cheeks with some Benefit Hoola Bronzer and apply this with a Real Techniques Contour Brush to get a really nice natural look.  Finally, I'll apply Liz Earle Healthy Glow Powder Blush in Nude with my Everyday Minerals Angled Blusher Brush to finish my make-up off.

Thanks for reading and do pop over and say hello on my blog, We Were Raised By Wolves :)

I had a dream last week that I needed a MAC Paint Pot (does anyone else have dreams like this?) but didn't really know what shade to go for. Like Evelyn, I often wear one colour all over my lid so I think 'Rubenesque' will be the one. :) Thanks for Sharing the contents of your makeup bag with us! :) If you don't already follow Evelyn you can find her blog linked above and on Twitter: @beautywolfgirl

  1. I love this kind of post. Like other people's mail, the contents of another woman's make up bag is much more interesting than your own.
