NOTD: Essie 'Waltz'

Essie Waltz

Earlier on Twitter I posted a photo of 5 Essie polishes I'd ordered (and forgotten about) They arrived today and like a kid with a new toy I had to remove O.P.I 'I'm All Ears' and repaint my battered talons with one of my new shades.

I adore white nails. Stark white, milky sheer white, pale pink white. I love them all! Essie 'Waltz' really reminds me of my beloved Opera Ballerina minus the pink. You can get a sheer wash of colour with one coat or add three coats for full opacity. With sheer milky shades like 'Waltz' I prefer using 2 coats as I think they look nicer when there's a hint of visible nail line.

Essie Waltz (2 coats)
Nails Inc Kensington Caviar Top Coat 

I do have a baby finger but it's in hiding after the nail snapped right off. No one needs to see my stump.

      So glad I bought it and I'm happy to say I'm on the 2nd day now and no chips so far! lol Maybe Essie is going to start behaving on my nails.

      Same. The swatches on Fragrance Direct are rubbish so it was a bit of a blind buy but I really like how it looks once on the nails.
