The Nails Inc NOTD

I've posted swatches of both polishes before (here and here) and even though I haven't used either shade in a long time I do really like them BUT when paired together, it's love! Peach Sorbet was an InStyle freebie and Holly Place was part of a limited edition collection in 2012 so probably isn't available now but they aren't exactly unique shades, I'm sure dupes will be easy to find.

Products used:
Nails Inc Kensington Caviar Base Coat
Nails Inc Kensington Caviar Top Coat
Nails Inc Peach Sorbet (x2 coats)
Nails Inc Holly Place (x2 coats)

There's just something about this combo that makes me feel all summery and happy :)

Nails Inc Limited Edition Holly Place

So last weekend QVC had their beauty festival. I took myself off out for a few hours so I wouldnt be tempted by anything and was starting to feel a bit smug that I'd managed to stay strong and not place an order but all that changed when it was the Nails Inc hour.

I have enough polish to keep the UK manicured for the next year, more polish was the last thing I needed but its my weaknesss so yes, I ordered more.

The set contains three limited edition colours. All three are glitters but the shades are muted and are what I would consider to be grown up glitter. First up is Holly Place, described as a dusky pink with silver glitter shimmer.

On the nail its very similar to Orly Gel FX in Rage, slightly different colour but similar nonetheless. I'll add a pic at the end of this post so you can see for yourselves.

First Impressions were good, full coverage in one coat but I done the usual two coats just to make it more intense. The colour in the bottle doesnt change once on the nail and application was faultless. It wasnt too thick or thin, it was just perfect, much like Chelsea Embankment, swatched here.

The glitter isnt chunky, it lies flat against the nail but is slightly textured. It eats top coat but not as much as regular glitter. I used 2 coats of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri but it still doesnt end up completely smooth, looks glossy though and doesnt catch on anything and isnt scratchy.

Holly Place twinkles like crazy, almost looks like your nails have been dipped into liquid metal. Under certain lights it changes from dusky pink to silver to rose gold. If you cant tell by now, I love it!
