Spending Ban Update #3

Today I hit the 4 week mark and I'm pleased to say I've only chucked my pennies at one beauty product so far (see last weeks update on what that was)

There's quite a few things I want, mainly the Rimmel Apocalips so for that reason I've just completely skipped passed Boots and other places of temption. I almost bought ELLE magazine on Saturday for the 20 quid Kurt Geiger voucher but lets be honest, I would end up spending more than 20! I'm glad I decided to join in with the spending ban. I'm rekindling my love for old forgotten about products, fully using things up instead of buying more and most importantly, I'm learning I don't need to buy a new mascara/lipstick/highlighter just because it's on offer.

Although I haven't splashed the cash on beauty I have spent more this week than the last 3 weeks on things like food shopping but it needed to be done. If next week gets hard I plan to use a beauty treatment voucher I got for Christmas to cheer myself up and I promise I won't leave with a bag full of things I 'needed'.

Are you on a spending ban?
How did you get on this week?

  2. Congrats on getting through another week! I was tempted to pick up ELLE too for the KG card but I knew my entire spending ban would go out of the window if I did! x

  3. You have done so well, I was going to do a spending ban for four weeks but got a tax rebate and instantly caved, I didn't buy anything I didn't need though. x

  11. Omg you can't imagine how many times I told myself that from now on I'm going to stop buying new products but I can't seem to keep that resolution...I feel so bad but they are releasing new collections all the time and I don't want to miss out on them...I'm a horrible horrible person and my wallet will most certainly never forgive me...cheers to you for being so determined! xxx
