My Entry for TravelSuperMarket's Beauty And The Beach Competition

I absolutely love anything nail related, nail polish is my porn! When I received an email from TravelSuperMarket earlier letting me know they were running a competition for bloggers to enter their favourite holiday inspired hair, nails, and make up looks for a chance to win £1000 I knew I wanted to be involved.

As much as I love nails, I'm not the biggest lover of over the top nail art (maybe thats because its too time consuming for my impatient self) but I wanted to add a blingy twist to my all time favourite neutral shade, L'Oreal Opera Ballerina.

On holiday the last thing you want to be doing is changing your polish every other day to match your outfit. I'm yet to find an outfit 'Opera Ballerina' doesnt go with. It adds a clean polished look to your hands and looks a million times nicer with a tan which makes it the perfect choice for a holiday abroad. But of course on holiday everyone feels a bit braver, its our chance to go for something a bit out of our comfort zone. 'Opera Ballerina' is the perfect everyday look but I personally like to be a bit 'blinged up abroad' hence the crystals.

This look is so simple to achieve. It takes no longer than 10 minutes from start to finish and isnt too fiddly. I used O.P.I Ridge Filler as a base coat as it leaves a nice milky finish on the nails which works really well with this look | 1 coat of L'Oreal Colour Riche Nail in Opera Ballerina | Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Top Coat. You will also need an orange stick or toothpick, small crystals and blu tack. Add some blu tack to the end of your orange stick/toothpick (this enables you to pick up the crystals and place them on the nail quickly and without any fuss.) Instead of applying top coat to your nails as you normally would, do one nail at a time and place the crystals on while the top coat is still tacky. Once you have the crystals where you want them you can go ahead with another layer of top coat to seal the crystals in. If a crystal comes off all you need to do is dab a bit of top coat on the back and stick it on.

As part of the competition I need to nominate 5 bloggers who I think would like to take part. I chose the 5 by the amount of nail polish related posts they do..

Evelyn from We Were Raised By Wolves
Alice from Bright Town Girl
Lina from Linas Beauty Diary
Emily from Emily Has Dimples
Zoe from Zozeze
