Shopping My Stash #2

Two weeks ago I done my first 'Shopping My Stash' post. I decided to go for fortnighly rather than weekly posts as it gives me a good amount of time to put each product to use. I really enjoyed shaking up my make up bag a bit and felt a lot less stuck in a make up rut.

This fortnight my weapons of choice are:

Murad Skin Perfecting Dewy Finish Primer: I believe this came in a Glossybox months and months ago. I did use it a few times but wasnt blown away so chucked it into the dephs of the drawer of neglect.

Jemma Kidd I-Glamour Volume Mascara: I havent tried this mascara yet, it was a magazine freebie at some point but I have high hopes as the Jemma Kidd range is almost always raved about.

bareMinerals Foundation in Medium Beige: I would, and probably always will pick liquid foundation over minerals. I know people say you cant tell your wearing foundation when you use this but I always can and it seems to give me wrinkles where I dont have any! I need to give this another go, hopefully I'll love it by the end of the fortnight.

Laura Geller The Real Deal Concealer: The Real Deal is a brilliant full coverage concealer. It covers everything but it does have some bad points. I'll get a review up this week.

Lanolips Lemonaid*: Possibly the best lip product ever. I've neglected it lately but with the weather changing my lips have started to get a bit sore.

MAC Viva Glam Nicki: Not my favourite lipstick ever. Infact I'd say its probably the worst lippy I own but I'm determined to get some use out of it.

Do you own any of these products?

  1. I have the Viva Glam Nicki and it is a tough colour to wear but I still kind of like it, what do you dislike about it out of interest?

I need to shake up my makeup bag, such a good post x

    1. Thanks :)

I dislike everything about it really. It reminds me of a lippy you would find in a kids make up set, even the scent. I'll try it out over the next 2 weeks and if I'm still not lovin' it I'll have to admit defeat.

  2. Great post :) I may start to do some shopping the stash posts soon to get some use out of my pile of neglected make-up. I agree with you on the nicki minaj lippy. The colour is really bright and i find it hard to use it on a regular basis..but maybe just apply a light layer and then tone it down with a nudey lipgloss :) Thanks for sharing xoxo
ps...you reminded me that i have that murad primer somewhere in my stash haha :P

    1. Haha I always do that! I'll be reading a post and think 'I need to get that!' then remember I already own it.

I was mixing Viva Glam Nicki with Creme Cup for a while but still didnt like it. I'm going to dry just dabbing it on lightly, more like a stain.

    1. Its gorgeous. Really thick but just melts into the lips. I love how it feels and smells.

Larger Boots stores stock it but I'm yet to see it in store. You can buy it online - http://www.zuneta.com/shop-by-brand/lanolips.html/?gclid=COSeqcmBzLICFUQLfAodGSIA6A

  4. I love that Lanolips Lemonaid, really want to buy another tube of it but I have so many balms to use up at the mo! I wasn't too impressed with that Murad primer either, but I have been using the Blemish & Shine Control one that they do recently, and much prefer that one x

    1. The primer doesnt really seem to do anything, I dont think it makes my make up last much longer either. The Blemish & Shine Control one sounds much better.

I'm the same, balms seem to grow in my house lol

  5. I know what you mean about the Bare Minerals foundation giving you 'wrinkles' - mine tends to make me look like I have the dreaded laughter lines around my mouth! I do find though that a bit of Fix+ sorts that right out :)
