Current Cleanser: NUXE Melting Cleansing Gel With Rose Petals

My current cleanser of choice is NUXE Melting Cleansing Gel with Rose Petals. Unlike the Avene Gentle Purifying Scrub, this is one of the products I had on my to buy list. It's available in the UK though so if you fancy the sound of it, you can easily purchase a tube.

NUXE isn't a brand I know a lot about, I've only tried one or two products, so, for blogging purposes and because my cleanser stash was running low I decided to try something different and went for this rose scented cleanser. For some reason I was expecting the texture to be a very light balm. I know it's called Melting Cleansing Gel but the melting part made me imagine a balm. The texture is gel but not like any other gel cleanser I've tried before. It's almost like a cross between a lotion and gel, and an opaque light cream/pink shade. The directions say to massage it on to wet skin but I apply it as I would a cleansing balm, adding water after giving my face a good massage first and remove it with a flannel. It removes makeup well and a double cleanse removes mascara completely. This cleanser is designed for people with normal to combination sensitive skin which I definitely agree with. Although I don't find it drying, I imagine anyone with very dry skin would need something more noursihing like a balm but for most skin types it makes a great AM cleanser. It feels light, fresh and doesn't leave any residue behind.

The rose scent is quite strong. If you don't like anything rosy, you won't like this. I was expecting the scent to irritate my eyes but it hasn't at all, same goes for my skin. Again, I can't remember how much I paid but I know it was a lot more than it is in the UK. Why is Paris so expensive? I was expecting the French brands to be so much cheaper over there but no.

Have you tried this cleanser?

Paris Beauty Haul

I did plan on buying so much from Sephora but most of the brands stocked there are available in the UK and actually work out a lot more expensive in Euro's so as planned I headed straight to the Sephora own brand products (you all know how much I adore them) but only 5 things jumped out at me, plus a shower scrunchie as I'd forgot to pack mine. My hotel was central to most things I wanted to see and as soon as I got off the train which was very close to the hotel, Sephora was the first shop I saw. I had a bit of a fit and ran like a wild beast while trying to take a photo (you can see that attempt here) I think I came across 4 Sephora's in total with the one on the Champs Elysees (pictured above) being the largest. I did have better luck with the pharmacies though and they're so generous with samples.

Sephora:
Daily Make Up Brush Cleaner
Shower Scrunchie
Contour Eye Pencil 12HR Wear '13 Tiramisu'
Ultra Vinyl Lip Pencil '06 Strawberry Delish'
Rouge Shine Lipstick '04'
Jumbo Liner 12HR Wear '05 Beige'

Pharmacies:
La Roche-Posay Serozinc x2
Klorane Leave-In Spray With Citrus Pulp
Nuxe Creme Fraiche Masque
Avene Gentle Purifying Scrub
Yves Rocher Radiant Complexion Treatment
Klorane Leave-In Cream With Mango Butter
Yves Rocher Malaysian Coconut Eau De Toilette
Klorane Smoothing & Relaxing Eye Contour Patches
Yves Rocher Honey & Organic Muesli Creamy Cleansing Lotion
Yves Rocher Gentle Make Up Remover
Klorane Shampoo with Desert Date
Klorane Floral Lotion Eye Make Up Remover
Nuxe Melting Cleansing Gel with Rose Petals

I've only used a couple of the products but so far so good. I'll be reviewing most things once I've had a chance to really put them to the test and I did get a few things for one of you lovely lot so make sure to check back for a giveaway in the next week.

Have you tried any of these products?

February FeelUnique Beauty Box : Fall In Love.

So after being less than impressed with last months box and considering whether or not to keep my subscription, Feelunique have got me back on side with the contents this month. It doesnt look too exciting and some of the products have popped up in beauty boxes in the past but luckily they're all new to me. Whilst I've heard of and used all these brands before, I've never tried these particular products.

The main thing I like about Feelunique is that everyone receives the same products apart from different nail polish colours, I really wish other beauty boxes would start doing the same.

Contents:
Decleor Phytopeel Face Peel Cream, 15ml. I've wanted to try this for ages, really pleased to see it in the box.
Philip Kingsley Elasticizer, 40ml. Again, I've always wanted to try this but the price is ridiculous.
Nuxe Huile Prodigleuse Multi-Usage Dry Oil, 10ml. Smells just like Moroccan Oil but better. Had a quick play around with it lastnight, think I'm falling in love already.
Elemis Lime And Ginger Hand and Body Wash, 100ml. Elemis is one of my all time fave brands and 100ml is a decent size, impressed.
Leighton Denny Polish, 4.6ml. The colour I received  is 'Diamond Ivory', nice and natural.

There was also a sample of Jean Paul Gaultier Kokorico, which is for men so dont really get why it was thrown in but hey-ho, it was an extra.

Was everyone pleased with their box this month?
