Yves Rocher 3 Detoxifying Teas Micellar Water

Yves Rocher 3 Detoxifying Teas Micellar Water

Last year I asked Lina to send micellar when we done our first swap. It featured in a post last year but I'm on the last dregs of my bottle now so thought it was about time to share my thoughts.

I'm sure you all know by now that I don't get the hype surrounding micellar water but over the last lot of months I've tried out a few. I don't use them as a cleanser and it angers me when people say they do. I have no idea why, it's your face 'cleanse' it however you want but for me a micellar is only a way to remove the bulk of my make up before cleansing or a quick fix when you don't have access to water.

Yves Rocher 3 Detoxifying Teas Micellar Water smells, looks and feels just like every other micellar out there but unlike La Roche-Posay Physiological Micellar Solution it contains parabens and stings my cheeks where I have a lot of dehydration and leaves a slight residue behind. It removes eye make up slightly better than La Roche-Posays offering but by no means does it disappear in one swipe. The '100% cleansed skin in a single step' claim isn't true, I cleanse after using this and the amount of make up on my flannel at the end proves micellars aren't an effective way of cleansing.

Micellar water isn't something that excites me, I can't help it. To me they're just glorified make up removers.

What's your thoughts on micellars?
Have you tried this one from Yves Rocher?

  1. Apparently Micellars shouldn't be used as much as many beauty bloggers do - they've got no benefits to the skin, so I'm perfectly happy with my cream cleansers! x

    1. I agree with that, my skin is worse when I use them than when I don't. The only reason I use them the odd time is because my mascara was really staining my flannels/muslins.

  2. Oh no.. this sounds like a bit of a miss! It doesn't look very nice in the bottle. I love my Bioderma.. but no other cleansing water comes close. Boots No 7 cleansing water was/is vile.. it's like putting acid on my cheeks :( xx

    1. I'm one of the few who doesn't really like Bioderma. It's not the brands I have a problem with, it's just micellar water in general. My friend tried the one from No7 and said the same as you.
