I was a bit late jumping on the Macadamia Oil bandwagon but now that I've tried a few products from the brand, I want to try everything!
A while back I tried the oil and didn't think there would be much difference between that and the healing oil spray but there is. The Healing Oil Spray is oil obviously but much, much thinner. It sprays out of the nozzle in a fine mist and can be used on wet or dry hair. It claims to provide intense nourishment, leave your hair with a tangle and frizz free finish, add amazing shine, extend the life of colour treatments, provide UV protection and reduce drying time by 40-50%. My hair can take alot of product before it starts to feel/look weighed down so because the Healing Oil Spray is so lightweight I find it works better for me as a finishing spray to add even more shine, tame any flyaway hair etc. I use the normal Macadamia Oil while my hair is still wet, style it then add a few sprays to my hands, rub them together and smooth it through the midlengths/ends of my hair. It's great for keeping in your bag if you have frizzy hair. People with fine hair might even prefer it to the original oils as it's so lightweight.

Intriguing -- this will probably be too light for my hair, but I like that they've released a version for finer hair.
ReplyDeleteOn it's own it isn't enough for my hair that's why I prefer to use it once my hair is dry and the thicker oil while my hair is wet. It'd be great for people with fine/limp hair.

I like the original oil, I use it on wet and dry hair!xx
ReplyDeleteI do too, my hair loves oil and can take quite alot before it feels icky.

I have the Leave In Conditioner but I don't find it that great. My ends often still feel dry afterwards.
ReplyDeleteGillian from Glam Up Everyday x
I haven't tried that yet but my ends are really dry so it probably wouldn't work great for me either.

My hair doesn't get along with anything oil-based, so I'm completely off this hair trend.

I'm a frizzball without oil/silicone. I've tried oil on shorter hair lengths before and found it hard to work with, I definitely think it's better suited to bob length and below.

This sounds amazing!!! I use Moroccan oil but I want to try something a little bit lighter because I have really fine hair. I never tried anything from macadamia but ill keep it in mind for next time! xx
ReplyDeleteI find the normal Macadamia Oil to be alot lighter than Moroccan. You might like that better, the spray might be too light for you.

The macadamia deep repair mask is amazing my hair would be horrendous without it! Really great brand - I agree their leave in conditioner is not the best though if you have really very dry ends. Xx
ReplyDeleteThe leave in conditioner is something I would have bought, glad 2 people said it isn't much good, saved me some pennies. The mask is next on my list then! :)

This looks great. I'm getting my hair coloured next week and have no idea what I should be buying to keep it as healthy as possible!

Oils like Macadamia and Moroccan are great but they're only a temporary fix, they don't do much for the condition in the long run. I use coconut oil as a mask once a week, it really helps my hair and avoiding SLS in your shampoo makes a big difference too.

Sounds lovely, definitely would be perfect for the summer with the SPF and that it's so light weight x
