Shopping My Stash #13

Another fortnight is over which means it's time for me to shop my stash yet again. :) The last 2 Shopping My Stash posts included only samples and I managed to get through quite a lot but now it's back to 'normal' products.

MAC Eyeshadow 'All That Glitters': I'm probably the only person who isn't under the spell of MAC. Some of the products are brilliant but the eyeshadows I've tried haven't impressed me. 'All That Glitters' is the only MAC shadow I still own and I love the shade but it's been neglected for a few months.

Sally Hansen Insta-Grip Base Coat: I reviewed this last week (link) and really, really like it! I'll be using it for the next couple of weeks to save using up my Nails Inc Kensington Caviar Base Coat.

YSL Rouge Volupte 'Peach Passion': This has got to be the creamiest lippy I own. It feels lovely and comfortable on the lips but because of the texture it needs to be reapplied quite often. I don't mind that though, just means I get to see the gorgeous packaging more. :) I've already done a post on this gorgeous lippy (link)

Liz Earle Signature Foundation 'Nude'*: Beautiful foundation! 'Nude' is a bit dark for me which is why I don't wear it more often but I'm planning to slap some tan on so this beauty will be what I reach for. The finish is just right, lasts well on the skin and should suit most skin types. You can read my full review here.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Correcting Concealer '51 Light Radiance': I'm not sure how I feel about this concealer anymore. At first I thought it was one of the best drugstore concealers out there but now I find the finish looks almost powdery especially when used under the eyes and on me it creases quite badly but most concealers do. Maybe I'll fall in love with it again if I give it another chance.

Bourjois Blush '33 Lilas D'Or': This is such a pretty blush, really pigmented and lasts all day on my cheeks but the smell.. Oh the smell! Why anyone would think it's a good idea for a blush to smell so strongly of flowers is beyond me. You can see my swatches here

Do you own any of these products?

  1. I also dont find Mac to be the best for eyeshadows - im much more of an Urban Decay kind of girl :) Must give the Liz Earle foundation a try! I love the skincare range x

  2. I have YSL Peach Passion and love the colour but I agree, you have to reapply quite frequently. Also love All That Glitters, I use it as an all over lid colour on days I can't be bothered doing a full eye look. Some great products here :)

  4. Urban Decay really does do much better eye shadows than MAC. I only really buy MAC things if I can't find the colour somewhere else, or if I'm travelling and there's a dupe for something that would be more expensive to lose/break. Otherwise, I'm not too crazy about any of their textures.

    1. When I tried 'Ricepaper' I was sure it was a dud, the quality was terrible. If I hadn't bought it directly from MAC I would have thought it was fake.

  6. I feel the same about the Bourjois Healthy Mix concealer. Bought a tube last summer, loved it, but find that when I apply it in the winter months it's just too cakey/powdery looking x

    1. It's so weird, on the tube it says moisturising formula but on me it clings to dry patches.

  7. Love Mac all that glitters, one of my favorite eyeshadow colors! I was thinking about getting the Bourjouis healthy mix concealer since I recently got the healty mix foundation and like the formula of it.

    1. I haven't tried the foundation so I'm not sure how similar the formulas are. If you're not prone to creasing you will probably love it.

    1. I don't think I've ever bought a LE product from MAC. I like the look of some collections but not enough to buy anything.

  9. All that glitters is super pretty! I love it for a day time "smokey" eye, blending it with a black shadow.

  10. I love All That Glitters so much but I'm also not that crazy about MAC. I really want to try that concealer but I don't think we can get in the US. I've read so many mixed reviews though. xx

    1. It's so, so nice! Try it at a counter if you can, I find I need to go lighter with it than I usually would with other foundations and it oxidises but I like it even more when it does that. Weirdo! lol
