Mask It.

I try to exfoliate twice a week and follow with a mask. Straight after exfoliating is when mask's should be applied as all the dead skin-cells being removed allows the skin to take what it need's from the mask rather than the mask just sitting on top of the dead skin and not being able to do its job properly.

Masks have lots of benefits and with the weather getting colder I've noticed I'm getting random dry patches and my skin just doesnt look as healthy as it should so the 2 masks I'm going to stick with for a while are..

Elemis Exotic Cream Moisturising Mask

Elemis Tri-Enzyme Resurfacing Gel Mask

Elemis Exotic Cream Moisturising Mask 50ml £30.70 from here
'a light creamy mask containing a dynamic blend of Mimosa, amino-acid rich Honey, soothing Samphire, Orange and Bergamot. These work together to leave skin super-moisturized and enriched. For optimum penetration of its active ingredients, the mask may be left on overnight.'

I'll be alternating both masks but this one will help keep my skin moisturised. It can be left on for 10mins or overnight I tend to use it overnight, it seems like a waste to wipe it off after 10mins. Once removed, my skin looks brighter, softer and glowing.

Elemis Tri-Enzyme Resurfacing Gel 50ml £46
'This innovative, active gel-mask instantly smoothes and firms the skin for a younger, more radiant complexion.'
  • Retexturising enzymes smooth out skin's surface
  • Targets uneven skin texture, fine lines and blemishes
  • Balances the skin's pH levels leaving it shine free
This Mask Tingles like crazy!! You can actually feel it working and I think thats why I like it so much. Because it is retexturising the skin you need to use atleast SPF30. 8-10mins is all this masks needs and when you wash it off your skin feels like glass! It's honestly one of the best skincare products I've tried. Even after its been removed you can still feel an intense cooling effect. I have sensitive skin so was worried about trying the Tri-Enzyme range but I havent had any reactions.

Both masks are expensive but if you're interested in them then have a look on QVC, it works out so much cheaper plus they do a 30 day money back guarantee, even if you've opened and used some of the product!

What mask's do you love?

  1. I love the Elemis Exotic Cream Moisturising Mask! I also love Dermalogica multivitamin power recovery mask. I got a sachet of Sisley Black Rose Cream Mask recently - it was fab but its just too expensive to buy x

  3. I've always applied face masks before exfoliating and never really felt like they were doing much! But it makes total sense to exfoliate first.. duh. The Dermalogica mask that came in the Glossybox is quite nice (I've used it all up) but it did tend to feel slightly uncomfortable and stingy on my skin.. but it is ridiculously sensitive so it may just be me x
