Lately I've Been Lovin #12

I haven't shared my favourites since July, can you beleeeeeeve it?! So this post will include what I've been lovin' over August, September and October. I usually make a list of all the products I'm having a love affair with but for some reason I didn't this month and now I'm sure I've forgot to list all my favourites. #bbloggerproblems

Conscious Skincare Sweet Orange & Frangipani Body Butter*: This right here is a body butter with a difference. Gone is the thick, gloopy, sticky feeling most of us are left with after using a butter. This one from Conscious Skincare is light as air. When I first opened the package and lifted the pot I was sure it was only going to be half full, thats how light it is. I hadn't heard of Conscious Skincare untill this heavenly scented pot made it's way into my grasps but the products are handcrafted, made to order and free from sls, phtalates, synthetic or chemical preservatives, colours or fillers. Don't be fooled by the light, whipped cream texture, this body butter means business. Not only does the scent linger on the skin long after you apply it but it leaves the skin moisturised all day long. If like me you hadn't heard of this brand before, you can find more info on the website www.conscious-skincare.com The Sweet Orange & Frangipani Body Butter costs 18.99 for 250ml.

Sephora Contour Eye Pencil 12HR Wear 'Tiramisu': The best eyeliner ever. That, is, all. Swatch & review.

Clarins Graphic Expression Face & Blush Powder: One compact that can be used to add a flush of pink to your cheeks, add a subtle bronzed effect, set foundation, brighten the complexion and even contour depending on your skin tone? Yes please! I haven't let this baby out of my sight since getting it back in August. You can read my post here and see it in all it's unused glory.

Daniel Sandler Invisible Radiance Foundation & Concealer*: If you read this post you'll know how much I adore this foundation. I mentioned that the concealer creases under my eye's but instead of letting it go to waste while I obsess over the foundation I've been using the concealer to cover up any redness on my cheeks on days I'm not wearing foundation. My favourite way of applying the foundation is still with either the Real Techniques Buffing Brush or the Sephora Mineral Powder Brush. Fans of YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat will love this too.

Sephora Rouge Shine Lipstick '04': Sephora can do no wrong in my eyes when it comes to makeup. The skincare leaves a lot to be desired, it's awful but the makeup I can't fault. I've been singing the praises of this lippy here on the blog already (link) and as you can see, I've worn it down quite a bit already.

Hydraluron: Believe the hype, this stuff is incredible. I was able to feel a difference in my skin from the very first use. My skin felt smoother and more plump even though I needed to exfoliate. It's light on the skin, once dry you can't feel it at all.

Essie 'Neo Whimsical': This is the colour that attached itself to my nails through most of September and October. It's not very often I'll remove my chipped nail polish and apply the same colour but Neo Whimsical is such a gorgeous, easy to wear colour and unlike the majority of Essie polishes I've tried, it lasts a long time on my nails. Don't think I've showed swatches on my blog yet but I have posted a pic on instagram here.

Nails: Pale & Interesting

Even though we're now in Autumn and slicking glossy, dark shades on our digits, I still have a soft spot for lighter, cleaner fresher colours. I've championed white nails for years now. I'm usually not a fan of anything that appears harsh or stark but white nails were always my one exception and now that they're 'in' it makes me happy to see more and more people embracing snow white talons. I know everyone isn't a fan though and over the last 2 years or so my collection and love for milky, sheer or almost almost white shades has grown. I've picked out 8 that I feel would suit most skin tones.

L-R: Essie - Delicacy, Revlon - Powder Puff, Leighton Denny - It Girl, Leighton Denny - Sensual Glam, L'Oreal - Opera Ballerina, Nails Inc - Whitechapel, Essie - Neo Whimsical, Essie - Waltz

Essie - Waltz, Essie - Neo Whimsical,  Nails Inc - Whitechapel, L'Oreal - Opera Ballerina

Leighton Denny - Sensual Glam, Leighton Denny - It Girl,  Revlon - Powder Puff, Essie - Delicacy

Essie - Delicacy: My mum who hardly ever wears nail polish loves this shade. On the rare occasion she lets me loose on her nails this is the shade she always picks. Delicacy is a sheer and shimmery pale pink, one coat offers a healthy, clean, barely there mani but it can be built up to an almost opaque finish.

Revlon - Powder Puff: One of my pound shop finds and it's a goodun! The finish is matte/suede which I just don't do - go glossy or go home! But it's nothing a dollop of top coat won't fix. (swatches)

Leighton Denny - It Girl: This shade is described as pink but not too girly. To my eye it looks more peachy and just like most of the polishes in this post, it's a sheer colour but unlike the rest it can't really be built up to full opacity. It Girl contains subtle shimmer and would make a nice change from the usual pale pink french mani colours or worn alone to even out nail tone.

Leighton Denny - Sensual Glam: A pale cream with delicate shimmer particles - my Harpers Bazaar freebie back in 2011 and as you can see from this post I wasn't the biggest fan of this shade at first. I'm not sure whats changed but I quite like it now even if I don't wear it very often.

L'Oreal - Opera Ballerina: Most of you who read my blog on a regular basis will know this is my favourite nail colour of all time. I've lost count of how many bottles I've gone through now but I'll continue to buy it as long as L'Oreal sell it. One coat gives a gorgeous clean look to the nails, it's one of the few shades I actually love the look of when there's visible nail line but it can be built up (see here)

Nails Inc - Whitechapel: See here and here for swatches. Whitechapel is no longer listed on the Nails Inc site, I'm not sure if it's been discontinued or has just sold out but you can still find it on Amazon and Ebay. This is a true white shade but is softened by the pearlised finished.

Essie - Neo Whimsical: Not white or sheer but a gorgeous clean shade all the same. I haven't swatched it here on the blog yet but have uploaded swatches on my Instagram here.

Essie - Waltz: To me, Waltz is the white version of Opera Ballerina so obviously I love it and don't need to say anything else apart from look at the swatches.

All swatches on the nail wheel are 2 coats with no base or top coat. I know it's hard to see the true colours on a white nail wheel as the polishes themselves are almost white but I hope they're clearer in the linked swatches.

What's your favourite nail colour?
Do you own any of these shades?
