Fashion Targets Breast Cancer 2014

This year's Fashion Targets Breast Cancer campaign has now launched in the UK. The campaign this year is all about empowering women to make a difference and raise vital funds for Breakthrough Breast Cancer by wearing their support #WearYourSupport.

There's a number of ways you can show your support but if you love shopping you'll be pleased to know that Marks & Spencer, River Island, Warehouse, Topshop, Laura Ashley, Debenhams and Superga have all launched exclusive pieces which carry a minimum 30% donation to the charity. The lip balm pictured above is from Marks & Spencer and only costs 3 quid with 100% of the proceeds going to Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

For more info, and to get your shop on I've added a  button to the right hand side of my blog which will take you directly to the site. You can also get involved on Twitter: @FashionTargets #WearYourSupport

Will you be showing your support this year?

Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2013

I'm sure you all know that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and as always, there are a number of ways you can show your support.

This year Breakthrough Breast Cancer have an exciting new campaign, the Great Pink Bake Off. Breakthrough Breast Cancer is recruiting an army of bakers to fire up their ovens and whip-up some support to help fund their life saving research on Friday 18th October. Head over to www.pinkbakeoff.org for more info. #GreatPinkBakeOff

You can also #ShopPink - This years collection includes something for everyone; Avon, ghd and cult US product GlamGlow have got your beauty needs covered. M&S, Warehouse, My Wardrobe, Laura Ashley, Sainsburys and Debenhams are also getting involved. A percentage from every purchase goes to the cause. Visit the Breakthrough Breast Cancer shop for a full list of products. Here are a couple of my faves - I feel a trip to Sainsbury's coming on, they have so many pretty things.

Sainsbury's  Primrose & Peony Optic Wax Filled Glass Jar

Sainsbury's Breast Cancer Awareness 4pk Mug Set

#MoreThanALump - Text SIGNS to 70500 to get your free credit-card sized TLC guide. This guide details the key signs and symptoms of breast cancer. It also includes info on what to do if you notice anything unusual. Keep it somewhere useful, such as your bedside table to remind yourself to check your breasts.

You can get involved on Twitter with all the hashtags mentioned in this post.

Breakthrough Breast Cancer

As you all know October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. I had an email from Therri who works for the charity Breakthrough Breast Cancer letting me know all of the brands the charity has teamed up with this year. Theres lots of different ways you can donate money but my favourite is always a beauty purchase and with this being a beauty blog I thought I'd list some of the brands helping to raise money this year.

GHD | Ciate | M&S | Fake Bake | Avon. You can take a look at each product and purchase directly from the Breakthrough shop here.

'One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetime in the UK, while 1,000 women die from the disease each month in the UK – so raising vital funds and awareness is crucial to help us beat breast cancer for good.'

If anyone would like more information about breast cancer or wants to get involved you can do so at  www.breakthrough.org.uk
