Caudalie Instant Foaming Cleanser.

Caudalie Instant Foaming Cleanser is one of the latest additions to my ever growing cleanser collection. I've been using it as my morning cleanser for a couple of weeks now. Usually I dont feel the need to review a product unless its really good or really bad (this is neither) but I mentioned it in a post so thought I'd share my thoughts.

During the warmer months I prefer a light foam type cleanser in the mornings. They're quicker to use, easier to rinse and just a lot lighter on the skin. In the bottle Instant Foaming Cleanser is a clear water but once you press the pump it comes out as a light airy foam which you then massage into damp skin. Usually with foaming cleansers you're left feeling as if your skin is squeeky clean but I dont find that with this. Yes it cleanses well but sometimes it just feels like its skimming across the skin and not doing much else (another reason why I only use it in the morning). The one good thing is it doesnt dry out my skin or make it feel tight after use but if you have dry skin then it probably would.

Ingredients:
AQUA (WATER), GLYCERIN*, SODIUM COCOYL GLUTAMATE*, CAPRYLYL/CAPRYL GLUCOSIDE*, COCAMIDOPROPYL BETAINAMDE MEA CHLORIDE*, CAPRYLYL GLYCOL, PARFUM (FRAGRANCE), COCO BETAINE*, CITRIC ACID*, POTASSIUM SORBATE, SODIUM METHYL COCOYL TAURATE*, SODIUM COCOYL ISETHIONATE*, SODIUM CHLORIDE, SODIUM PHYTATE*, BUTYLENE GLYCOL, SALVIA OFFICINALIS (SAGE) LEAF EXTRACT*, CHAMOMILLA RECUTITA (MATRICARIA) FLOWER EXTRACT*, VITIS VINIFERA (GRAPE) FRUIT EXTRACT*, CITRONELLOL, BUTYLPHENYL METHYLPROPIONAL, LINALOOL. * Plant origin

It removes make up well but has almost no effect on mascara (yet another reason its only good for morning use). The scent is similar to some micellar waters I've tried, very floral and comes across very fake. I'm not a fan of the scent but it hasnt irritated my sensitive skin at all.

If you have oily/combination skin and are looking for a basic fuss free cleanser then Caudalie Instant Foaming Cleanser would be a good one to go for but if you have dry skin, wear heavy make up or you're like me and enjoy spending a good few minutes cleansing and feeling as if your cleanser is actually doing some good then maybe give this a miss.

Have you tried this?

    1. I've loved everything I've tried from Caudalie but just dont find this matches up to the rest of the products. I know theres a smaller 50ml size which would be a decent amount to test it out first.

  3. The cleanser is designed for light use not really to remove makeup, at least that's the advice I was given at SpaceNK. I think it's great for morning use and I also tend to use it a night as an added step after my initial cleanse. Personally I love it! x

    1. I know its not designed to remove make up, thats why I keep it for morning use but I like to test every cleanser out with make up just to see how well it works (I hate having to use a separate make up remover, too lazy) and for review purposes.

  5. Great review Hun. Foaming cleaners are my least favourite they always leave my skin feeling a bit tight. I am trying out the REN Clearcalm 3 Clay cleanser at the moment and love it. I think you would like it. xx

    1. This doesnt leave my skin feeling tight at all but I think it probably would in the colder months.

I've only tried a few sample sizes of REN products. You're all tempting me with new cleansers! lol

  6. I'm generally not a fan of foaming cleansers but this sounds pretty good, though I'd probably want to try a sample size first x

    1. The foam is really fine, it doesnt lather up like say a showergel and I think thats why I dont find it drying. It would be lovely to use abroad as its so light, definitely try the smaller size.

  7. I'm not the biggest fan of Caudalie, finding the products just aren't right for my skin type. But I love foaming cleansers. This sounds great xo
