The Gentle One: Dirty Works Coconut Caress Body Scrub

Dirty Works Coconut Caress Body Scrub*

I love any product that makes a huge difference from the first use and body scrubs fall into that category. You don't need to use the product for weeks before your skin feels smoother, it's instant. I personally prefer a scrub that feels almost harsh (bad choice of word but I like to feel it working) but I've found a great smelling, gentle scrub that would be perfect for anyone who likes to exfoliate several times a week in the shower without having to worry about over doing it.

The directions say to apply a dollop onto damp skin but I find it works better on dry skin (I use all scrubs this way) it spreads across the skin really well and if you're a coconut lover like me, you'll love the scent! This scrub isn't harsh in the slightest, I would go as far as to say it's the most gentle scrub I've ever tried and could be used on a daily basis without causing any irritation. Coconut Caress leaves the skin feeling moisturised but isn't an oily scrub, it doesn't leave any residue on the skin which makes it a good one to use before applying fake tan.

If you only exfoliate once a week/fortnight/month then this isn't for you but if you're a daily scrubber or are looking for something gentle then Coconut Caress would be a good one to go for.

Do you prefer a gentle scrub to a scrubby scrub?

    1. Same here. I'm a bit lazy when it comes to exfoliating in the shower but if I did it everyday then I would probably use a gentle scrub.

  3. Dirty Works is Sainsbury's brand. Some of the supermarket own brands are quite good, you just don't see them on the blogs.

Would you say its ok for drier skins Fran? That's my complaint with most scrubs; they leave my poor skin feeling bone dry and I have to really moisturize well afterwards.

    1. I would say stick to oily scrubs that leave some residue on the skin. It doesn't dry my skin out in the slightest but my the skin on my body isn't dry apart from a few random patches on the tops of my arms.
