Review: Macadamia Natural Oil Rejuvenating Shampoo & Moisturizing Rinse

Macadamia Rejuvenating Shampoo | Macadamia Moisturizing Rinse

Macadamia Natural Oil Rejuvenating Shampoo, 300ml, £11.47*: is a shampoo designed to add moisture back into your hair, so anyone with hair that can look/feel a bit crispy at the ends is going to benefit most from this. It claims to gently cleanse the hair which I totally agree with, there's no squeak at all when rinsing the shampoo out and that worried me a bit. When hair squeaks it isn't always a good thing as it can cause the hair to feel dry but for me, squeaking is a good indication that all the build up from products and daily grime has been removed and more often than not a good squeak leads to incredibly shiny hair. It 100% improved the look and feel of my hair but unfortunately it didn't remove product build up and by the next day my hair fell flat at the roots and lacked the shine I'm used to. I would say this is best suited to those with dry/damaged hair as claimed but only if your roots as well as the midlengths/ends are extremely dry and you don't use many styling products. Macadamia Natural Oil Moisturizing Rinse, 60ml, £4.20*: Is a nourishing conditioner light enough for daily use and should suit all hair types. It's infused with oils designed to detangle and nourish hair but it isn't a patch on the Deep Repair Masque. Lets be honest though, what is? It still does a great job and leaves my hair soft, smooth and easy to comb. It rinses out easily and doesn't weigh down my hair at all.

It's also worth mentioning that both products are SLS/Paraben free and even though they're scented (signature Macadamia Scent) neither of them irritated my scalp in the slightest

There has definitely been a Macadamia theme running on my blog lately. I think it's safe to say I'm more than just a wee bit taken by the brand. Unfortunately the Rejuvenating Shampoo hasn't made it onto my adore list but by no means is it a bad product, it just doesn't seem to suit my hair.

    1. I think you can get the shampoo in travel sets, might be good to try it that way. You might get on better with it than I did.

    1. I've only tried a few moisture shampoo's that don't do it. Wouldn't be so bad if I washed my hair everyday but who has time for that.

  4. I've been eyeing this up for a while, but I'd definitely need something that removes product build up! Thanks for the heads up -- great post :) xx

    1. It's definitely not the best for removing product build up but I can't knock it for the moisture claim.

      Thanks :)

Its a shame they made your hair feel strange considering they were 100% effective at making your hair look and feel good!

    1. I like the packaging too :)

I realise that sounds like a contradiction but what I mean by that is it's the type of shampoo I would use for a night out as it make's my hair look great but by the next day it look's like I need to wash it again and I don't wash my hair everyday so it's a bit of a pain.
