4 Night's Away: Make-Up & Perfume.

I'm going away for 4 nights on the 2nd of December so thought I'd show what has made the cut. First up is make up. Years ago I would take almost every item of make up I owned, I could never decide what to bring with me and surprise surprise, the majority of it never saw the light of day. Now I'm much more sensible and keep my make up to a minimum. I only bring what I know I'll definitely use it and as it's a spa break I more than likely won't want to wear make up anyway. So what made the cut?

Make Up:
YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat
Garnier Roll-On Anti-Dark Circles
YSL Touche Eclat
Chanel Illusion D'Ombre 'Emerveille'
Estee Lauder Lash Primer Plus
Estee Lauder Zero Smudge Lengthening Mascara
Nars Blush 'Douceur'
MAC MSF 'Soft & Gentle' (not pictured)
BareMinerals Hydrating Lip Tint 'Juicy'
DIY Tinted Brow Gel
Liz Earle Brow Pencil 'Fair'*

Brushes:
Real Techniques Buffing Brush
Real Techniques Delux Crease Brush
Real Techniques Blush Brush
Perfume:
Stella In Two Peony

I'm all chuffed with myself. I've been quite strict and only packed one of each thing - one blush, one lip product etc. The cases from the Real Techniques collections are so handy for travelling! No more getting the bristles caught in the zip of my make up bag or covered in fluff and whatever else seems to lurk at the bottom of bags. They're so handy to have. Stella In Two Peony has been discontinued, sad times! So now I only use it on special occasions to make it last as long as possible.

Are you a good packer or do you try squeezing the kitchen sink into your make up bag?

  1. The perfect amount of make up! I can pack everything efficiently...except for my cosmetics! I always end up bringing more than necessary because I "might need it for a night out!" and never end up using half the things I bring.

    1. I used to do the exact same. Trying to narrow down a certain amount of lippies etc just freaked me out so I would pack them all. I have the same problem with shoes. ;)

    1. Have you tried a sample yet? I adore it! I've used it so many times and the bottle is still almost full. It'll last ages.

    2. Good point I might just pop by my local counter and get a sample amount as it's the next foundation I'll be buying after I finish Chanel's Mat lumiere. xo

  3. That is so sensible and restrained but does make sense for a spa break...even in the evenings you might find you want to go au natural! I want to get Lash Primer Plus xx

    1. I havent tried Lash Primer Plus yet. Hope it's good! If I'm having good skin days (fingers crossed) I'll just stick to concealer and mascara.

  4. I like your picks! I like how you've compiled a sensible make-up bag but haven't sacrificed any luxuries at all - that's the best way to do it! xx

  5. Wow, you put me to shame - for just one night away I literally just took moisturiser, concealer, tinted moisturiser and a lip&cheek tint, haha! x

  6. I'm such a pain when it comes to packing makeup...I always feel like I need to pack every single product that sits in my vanity lol But since I'm going to NY next year, I'll definitely need to cut out most of my stuff and only pack 1 of each...my heart's already aching at that thought haha you put together a lovely selection btw :) xx
