My New Nail Obsession: Paul & Joe 'Fairie Queen 028' and NOTD.

This beauty is my first polish from Paul & Joe, I think it's safe to say I'm more than impressed and buying on a whim really paid off this time. Say hello to my new baby: Paul & Joe Fairie Queen 028 from the A Midsummer Night's Dream collection.

Paul & Joe Fairie Queen 028

The packaging is adorable, the brush is brilliant, the polish itself is quite thick and applies perfectly. Honestly, I'm in love. The original price is £10.50 but it's currently on sale for £8 on ASOS. At first I thought it was just a regular iridescent flakey top coat but its so much more than that. Painted on top of dark colours it looks as if little gems have been placed on your nails.

This is one coat of Fairie Queen 028 over two coats of Chanel Vertigo before applying top coat. I can't wait to try it out over lighter shades and will no doubt be wearing it all through Christmas. All the irregular shapes look like solid glitter, so different from how it look's in the bottle.

I'm sold on Paul & Joe polishes and plan to pick up a few more.
Have you tried this or any other shades from Paul & Joe?

    1. I can't wait to wear it over lighter colours. I prefer flakies layered over light colours and it'll look like snow. :)

    1. This is the only Paul & Joe product I own but the cat collection is really cute. I wouldn't want to use the products and ruin all the detail though! haha I have the one from GOSH too, think it's called Rainbow?

im not usually a fan of glittery or anil polish with bits in it but this has a great crystalised/gemmed effect.. very pretty :)

    1. The colour of the lid reminds me of Tinkerbell too. :) I'm in love with the bottle and how it all looks. I think I prefer this flakie compared to others I own as when it's layered over lighter shades it's pink/blue/purple rather than green and orange like you seem to get with most others.

  6. This does look lovely and I love the bottle but it's really similar to Models Own's Snowflake! Which is cheaper too :)

    1. I haven't tried Snowflake but all the reviews/swatches seem to say it takes 5 coats before the flakies really show up. Base coat, 2 coats of colour, 5 coats of Snowflake then top coat is way too much effort for me. haha bet it takes forever to dry too. I really like the look of Blizzard though.

    1. I tried it over a pale pink and loved it. I bet it would look amazing over icy blue shades. I might try it over a few different colours for a post.

    1. You just paint it on like a normal polish. It only takes one coat and because the base is clear it doesn't matter if you get some on your skin.
