NOTD: Lady Like

After braving darker nail shades for a week or two I was once again drawn to my beloved Opera Ballerina. Opera Ballerina is my drug of choice but instead of wearing it in all its plain glory I thought it was about time for a french mani.

Products Used:
O.P.I Ridge Filler
O.P.I Alpine Snow
L'Oreal Opera Ballerina
Nails Inc Kensingtone Caviar Top Coat

I'm coming to the end of my O.P.I Ridge Filler now so it's started to go all thick, gloopy and streaky which then makes any sheer colour added on top look streaky (you can kind of notice it in the photos) so if anyone knows of a good milky base coat please let me know in the comments.

What's on your nails today? :)

  1. The OPI Natural Nail base coat is pretty good! What do you think of the ridge filler though - worth it? x

    1. Is the O.P.I Natural Base coat a milky white colour? My usual base coat is Nails Inc Kensington Caviar but with sheer shades I like a milky white base. It means I dont have to do as many coats to get an opaque colour.

I really like Ridge Filler but only for the reason I just said. I don't rate it for ridges, I tried it on my nan and as far as I could tell it made little to no difference.

    1. I noticed that on Fragrance Direct or Cheap Smells a while back. Hope they still have some! It's not just clear though is it?

    1. Awh thank you. You can buy guides for doing the tips but I find them useless, the glue clings to the nails once you've removed it and spreads the white polish. I find it easier if my elbow rests on a table.

  5. So chic - I like it! My nails are naked at the mo but I might paint them with either a work friendly neutral or a vampy dark shade later :) x

    1. Thanks :) I think I need to get more vampy shades in my collection. I've been wearing the same shades year after year.

    1. I hate the staining from dark colours, it looks horrible doesn't it. A french mani covers up all nail sins ;)

  7. Gorgeous colour! Loving natural-ish looking nails recently. Just today I got back onto the blue nail polish, haha!

You need to try OPI's Vodka & Caviar, a dark rich red nail polish, it is STUNNING! xo

    1. I find it so hard to pull off blue nails because I'm so pale.

You're right, Vodka & Caviar is stunning! I just googled some swatches and now NEED it.
