Liz Earle Botanical Essence No. 15

Botanical Essence No. 15* is the second fine fragrance from Liz Earle. No. 15 got its name from the use of 15 precious botanicals - Damask Rose, Cedarwood, Vetiver, Bergamot, Tonka Bean Absolute, Clove Bud Oil, Vanilla Extract, Pink Pepper Berry Oil, Sandalwood Essential Oil, Cinnamon Leaf Oil, Guaiacwood oil, Cypriol Root Oil, Patchouli, Elemi Gum & Benzoin Gum. You can see each ingredient illustrated on the wardrobe like box which surrounds the bottle.

Forget what you know about Liz Earle scents - the products usually have a soft, amost baby like fragrance but Botanical Essence No. 15 is nothing like that! No.15 smells quite manly to me when first sprayed but the scent seems to change as the day goes on. After around an hour on the skin is when I start to like it more and more, it gets softer but doesnt fade. I dont know how it manages to be a spicy oriental scent yet clean and fresh at the same time but somehow it does.

Botanical Essence No. 15 would make a lovely Christmas gift as its packaged beautifully and the scent just has something very Christmassy about it.

  1. I love liz Earle products, they are always so natural and simple. I love fragrances that change throughout the day and this sounds quite good in the way that it doesn't fade but gets softer :) I need to smell this before i buy though, just to make sure i like the scent~ Thanks for reviewing!

    1. Yes I would say definitely try it first. I find it a bit too mature for me but I can easily wear it once its had time to settle on my skin. It's such an unusual scent, I dont own anything like it.

    1. It's so unusual isn't it. The 50ml bottle will last for aaaages since it's not a fragrance you need to spray over and over again throughout the day.
