Shavata Brow Tamer

Eyebrow guru Shavata was the first to come up with this twist/click clear gel mascara pen. Unlike usual brow mascaras, theres no wand. Its in the shape of a pen and at the tip theres tiny teeth which allow you to get right to the brow and not on the surrounding skin.

After twisting the end of the pen untill it clicks, the clear gel is released into the comb section. I found it a bit strange at first but the small teeth make it easier to manipulate the hair, you have more control.

When doing the inner part of my brow I hold the pen so that the teeth are straight on, for the tail of my brow where the hair isnt as dense I hold the pen at a slant, this ensures every hair is coated. The gel is clear but because it helps hold the shape so well, and makes your natural brow colour more intense, you're left with brows that look groomed but without being over done.

As everyone who uses clear mascara will know, inside the tube ends up looking really dirty from the wand picking up makeup then being placed back inside the tube. It looks disgusting but cant be helped. You dont get any of that with this pen, its a lot more hygenic.

Have any of you tried this?

Shavata Brow Tamer* is £14.50 and can be found here

  2. Really interested in brow products at the moment as I've just had my HD brows done! Review here if you want to look:

This looks like a really useful product as at the moment I'm just using powders and wax and could do with more hold. x

    1. When I want more definition I just use the wax from Benefit Browzings, I cant seem to get on with powder at all.

I would love to get HD brows or one of Shavatas salons but the thought of threading scares me. lol

Perhaps I should give a try on that instead of going to the saloon

  4. Haven't heard of this before but it looks really good! Definitely better than my disgusting looking once-clear MUA mascara that I use for my brows xx

    1. I've just been using a cheap clear mascara since my tinted Dior one ran out but it has no hold at all, was useless. Mine went all manky and gross after first use too.

  7. This is such an awesome idea! I've tried clear mascara but it doesn't work on me really. Also, I have HUGE untamed brows so this is definitely something that I would consider!
At the moment I'm using a bit of hairspray and a flat toothbrush. Works wonders!

    1. I used to use hairspray too but I would forget and rub my brows then end up with attractive white flakey bits!

This has the strongest hold out of all the brow mascara type produts I've tried so definately one worth checking out.
