Shopping My Stash #13

Another fortnight is over which means it's time for me to shop my stash yet again. :) The last 2 Shopping My Stash posts included only samples and I managed to get through quite a lot but now it's back to 'normal' products.

MAC Eyeshadow 'All That Glitters': I'm probably the only person who isn't under the spell of MAC. Some of the products are brilliant but the eyeshadows I've tried haven't impressed me. 'All That Glitters' is the only MAC shadow I still own and I love the shade but it's been neglected for a few months.

Sally Hansen Insta-Grip Base Coat: I reviewed this last week (link) and really, really like it! I'll be using it for the next couple of weeks to save using up my Nails Inc Kensington Caviar Base Coat.

YSL Rouge Volupte 'Peach Passion': This has got to be the creamiest lippy I own. It feels lovely and comfortable on the lips but because of the texture it needs to be reapplied quite often. I don't mind that though, just means I get to see the gorgeous packaging more. :) I've already done a post on this gorgeous lippy (link)

Liz Earle Signature Foundation 'Nude'*: Beautiful foundation! 'Nude' is a bit dark for me which is why I don't wear it more often but I'm planning to slap some tan on so this beauty will be what I reach for. The finish is just right, lasts well on the skin and should suit most skin types. You can read my full review here.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Correcting Concealer '51 Light Radiance': I'm not sure how I feel about this concealer anymore. At first I thought it was one of the best drugstore concealers out there but now I find the finish looks almost powdery especially when used under the eyes and on me it creases quite badly but most concealers do. Maybe I'll fall in love with it again if I give it another chance.

Bourjois Blush '33 Lilas D'Or': This is such a pretty blush, really pigmented and lasts all day on my cheeks but the smell.. Oh the smell! Why anyone would think it's a good idea for a blush to smell so strongly of flowers is beyond me. You can see my swatches here

YSL Peach Passion Rouge Volupte Lipstick

Peach Passion is a peachy coral shade with the creamiest texture of any lippy I've ever owned or tried. When I first swatched it on the back of my hand I couldnt believe how creamy it was! I Was mid conversation with my mum while swatching and it slipped right across the back of my hand! Not only is the formula crazily creamy but the coverage is fully opaque. Maybe even too opaque at times. Honestly, you barely need to touch your lips to get full coverage.  The consistency is great for anyone with dry lips. I don't find it clings to or highlights any dryness and I never need to use a balm first. But with that positive comes a negative - it only lasts around an hour on me.

Do I even need to mention the packaging? No, but I'm going to anyway. We all have certain products that make us feel special whenever we use them and this is one of mine. It looks special, it feels special and it attracts alot of attention. YSL can do no wrong packaging wise in my eyes. Another thing I love is the shape of the lipstick. The almost flat top works alot better for me as my lips are stupidly thin. With regular shaped lipstick I have to be careful I dont end up with lippy a mile above my lip line.

Peach Passion might not be the most Autumnal colour but this doesn't bother me in the slightest. It'll be great for smokey eye days and it'll keep my lips feeling nice and soft in this horrible weather we've been having.

Huge thanks to Lina for creating a Rouge Volupte monster! :)

Do you own Peach Passion? What shade should I go for next?
