2013 was the year where I was well and truly converted to Soap & Glory body scrubs. I've already declared my love for The Breakfast Scrub (link) at the same time I bought that I also bought the Sugar Crush version but haven't had a chance to share my thoughts on it, until now.
I love both scrubs, they both do the same thing - exfoliate, but for me they serve different purposes. The formulation of Sugar Crush is much looser so therefor isn't as intense as The Breakfast Scrub and can be used more often in the shower. If you exfoliate several times a week and want something that gets the job done without being too harsh, I would recommend Sugar Crush, however, If you're a bit lazy when it comes to exfoliating and don't do it very often or want a scrub that will get rid of every trace of lizard pre fake tanning then The Breakfast Scrub is the way to go. Neither leave any residue on the skin and I haven't found them to be drying either but the skin on my body isn't overly dry to start with.
If you love sweet scents then you're in for a treat, Sugar Crush is a smashed brown sugar scrub with lime. Sounds like a weird combo, one I was certain I wouldn't like but I love it! Do I prefer one scrub over the other? Yes, The Breakfast Scrub gets my vote. The dense texture means not much falls off the skin and disappears down the drain, I find it to be more exfoliating and I prefer the scent.

This is one of my favourite body scrubs! I think i have stocked up on this since they always have the 3for2 offer at boots. I also love their breakfast scrub too, its a much more sweeter scent as opposed to a lovely refreshing scent this sugar crush has to offer :) Leaves skin feeling nice and soft.
ReplyDeleteThanks for reviewing! Have a lovely day <3

I stocked up in the 3 for 2 offer too. :) I love the smell of both, find myself unscrewing the lids for a sniff everytime I'm near them.

Sounds lovely, I'm addicted to any scrubs that have a base of brown sugar - always does wonders for my skin! x
ReplyDeleteI think Avon used to have a brown sugar and shea scrub, not sure if they still do it but it was brilliant and really affordable.
