Current Obsession - White Nails.

I dont know why but lately I've been in love with white nails. Not just slightly white pinks like L'Oreal Opera Ballerina but stark, in your face white! Over the last few weeks it has been one of the only colours I've worn, sometimes on its own, sometimes with glitter layered over the top. You'll either love or hate it and a few years back I absolutely hated it, most whites just looked chalky and I suppose they still do but if applied carefully you dont end up with chalky streaks.

Last week I wanted me some Jubilee nails but without going for the obvious Union Jack design. I blobbed on some polish with an earbud, done a few outlines with a black nail art pen then fished out some glitter from a glitter polish. These pics are after a few days wear so they look a bit battered but no chips.

Products used: Nails Inc Kensington Caviar Base Coat | O.P.I Alpine Snow (2 coats) | Filthy Gorgeous Minx* | Random Red Polish | Milani Gems | Sally Hansen Insta-Dri (which is now on its last legs and full of bubbles) | Models Own Black Nail Art Pen

The bubbles from the top coat are more obvious in these pics but IRL the glitter disguises it.

      I havent tried many No7 polishes but I've got a few £5 vouchers in my purse so might give Snowflake a try.

      I'm gona line up all my glitters and see which works best next time I do it. Its not subtle at all but I love it lol

      I find it looks better if you do 2 thickish coats instead of thin coats then a good dollop of top coat :)

    I've never painted my nails white before, not sure why as they look so nice! I love the glitter on it too, must give this a go x

    The white looks lovely with the glitter layered over it. White is one of the few colours I haven't really tried, perhaps I should take the plunge!

      I always felt a bit self conscious with white nails, same with red lips. Give it a try and see what you think. :)
