Louise Galvin Natural Locks.

I mentioned I've been trying out a few products which are new to me, this haircare range from celebrity colourist Louise Galvin is one of them. With over 20 years experience in the hair industry Louise created  this revolutionary haircare line and became the first carbon neutral beauty company in the UK.

The Natural Locks range contains natural and ecological ingredients, is cruelty free and is free from SLS, Parabens, Petrochemicals, Silicone, Synthetic Fragrance and Polymers. Everything sounds perfect for my sensitive scalp, I couldnt wait to try them!

How gorgeous is the packaging? The black looks so smart and I really love the pump dispensers. Each item came wrapped neatly in bright pink tissue and as soon as I clapped eyes on the bottles they reminded me of the type you would find in boutique hotels. I'm not gona lie, I'm shallow when it comes to packaging, I'm more likely to buy something  based purely on how it looks and these certainly didnt disappoint. BUT its whats on the inside that counts...

Nourishing Shampoo For Dry/Damaged Hair*: Unlike the conditioner and treatment, the shampoo comes with a 'pop up' dispenser. I wondered why at first but as with all SLS free shampoo its a bit on the runny side, a pump wouldnt work as good. Dont be fooled by the runny consistency though, this shampoo lathers up just as well, if not better than a regular shampoo. When a shampoo is targeted at dry/damaged hair I usually end up with hair that feels weighed down and coated in silicone, not with this though. My hair was left feeling squeaky clean but not stripped in any way. It contains gentle cleansers that help to reduce colour fade, Pro Vitamin B5 which increases hair elasticity and moisture retention aswell as vegetable proteins and sweet almond extract to restore moisture and add shine.
Price: £7.95 for a whopping 300ml.

Nourishing Conditioner For Dry/Damaged Hair*: Ahhh, I'm in love with the glossy black packaging! The pump dispenser ensures that you never tip too much product out and just makes everything a lot easier, theres no trying to squeeze tubes with slippery wet hands. Nourishing Conditioner is enriched with natural oils to repair chemical or enviromental damage. It contains sweet almond, linseed and honey extract to deeply nourish the hair and leaves behind a gorgeous, glossy, healthy shine.
Price: £7.95 for 300ml.

Deep Conditioning Treatment*: This was the star of the show for me, I can fully see why its a Green Beauty Bible Award Winner. The instructions had me a bit 'huh?' at first but its something I'll be doing with other hair treatments from now on. You shampoo your hair as normal, wring the water from your hair and apply the treatment. Now this is usually where I would start combing the treatment through my hair but the directions state that you should leave the treatment on your hair for 10 minutes, after 10 minutes you put your hair under running water as if you're about to rinse it all off but stop and then start to comb your hair. I couldnt believe how easily the comb slid through my hair compared to when I usually comb my hair straight after applying a treatment. There was hardly any hair in the comb (which is very rare for me). I was left with hair that felt like it had never been coloured/styled with heat and in brilliant condition, which I can assure you is far from the truth.
Price: £9.95 for 300ml.

I really cant fault any of the 3 products I tried. Everything was perfect, from how they arrived all neatly wrapped | the packaging | price | performance | size | ingredients and the amazing shine you're left with. All products can be purchased directly from here.

Have you tried anything from Louise Galvin?

Louise Galvin and Liz Earle are the best I've tried so far.

  4. I agree, I definitely go for packaging also, it is what draws me in initially. I like that these products are free from Silicone! I really might have to try this.

    1. I think we're all guilty of it. :] I've tried to avoid silicone like the plague lately, hate the feeling of build-up.
