Review : Bio Nova Eye Wrinkle Treatment.

This came in Decembers Glossybox, I didnt receive it but I'm a sucker for eye-creams so I done a swap with Zoe.

Product Description And Benefits:
The biological activity of the presented product is adjusted to the gender (female), age group (25-39).
Bio Nova's Nano Skin Tech treatment solution for the eye area prevents signs of premature aging. Continued use diminishes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improves elasticity, skin texture and enhances the skin barrier ability. Visably improves skin viscoelasticity in eye area by 28-35% and reduces signs of skin aging. Contains multiple Nano-Complexes with short chain Polypeptides, bioflavonoids, essential vitamins, antioxidants, enzymes, glycoproteins and nucleic acids.

Huge claims! I was really excited to get my hands on the wee pot, I dont have wrinkles but can definately notice a change starting to happen around my eye area and as a result, I am now the eye cream queen. I'll try anything that promises to prevent wrinkles but my main areas of concern are dark circles, puffiness, and bags due to a messed up sleeping pattern.

This eye cream retails at £43 so yes, I was expecting to see some improvement.

How To Apply:
Apply small quantities of product around eye area, upper eyelid, lower eyelid, external eye area and temples. Take a pin drop amount of cream, rub it in between fingers and gently press it against the skin. Use morning and night. Make-up (preferably oil free make-up) can be used 5 minutes after product application.

This eye cream is heavily perfumed, theres been a few times my eyes have streamed with tears after application. I really dont get why an eye cream needs to be scented, unless its a result of trying to cover up the true smell? Wouldnt recommend this for anyone who wears contacts or has sensitive eyes.
After over a month of using this product and I still havent noticed any benefits. I tend to be harder on products which are more expensive and make wild claims. The cons completely outweigh the pros. The only thing I like is the texture. I'll continue to use up the rest of the pot and edit this post if theres any improvement but I doubt there will be.

If you've tried this I would love to know your thoughts on it. If I had to rate it out of 10, I'd give it 1/10. Might sound harsh but really, you would get the same non existent results from dabbing thin air under your eyes.

NOTLastFewDays

Over the last few months I've gone crazy with glitter and colours that are far from subtle so on friday night I went all lady-like with a frenchie.

After breaking the baby nail on my left hand I've had to use my right hand for photos, which I hate (is the bump at the side of the middle finger called 'writers bump'?)

Products used:
Nails Inc Kensington Caviar Base Coat
Nails Inc Whitechapel (tips)
O.P.I Bubble Bath
Sally Hansen Insta-Dry

Usually for french tips I use O.P.I Alpine Snow but it seems to have gone walkies so I used Whitechapel instead. I think I prefer Whitechapel, the tips arent as stark and look alot more natural.

Diorshow Brow | Why rediscovering your love for a forgotten product isnt always a good thing.

A good few years ago whist on the hunt for 'something to set my brows' but also add just the right amount of colour, Diorshow Brow made its way into my life. After the first use I came to the conclusion that my life would be over if I didnt go back and buy a back-up straight away, so I did. Then of course a few weeks later something new and exciting ended up in my makeup bag and I completely forgot about the Diorshow Brow back-up that I needed.

I think this only came in two colour options.. Shiny brown and shiny blonde. I'm not sure if you can see from the photo but theres really tiny flecks of shimmer running through the colour, at first it put me off a bit but once on the brows it makes them look really healthy.

Just after Christmas while making more of an effort to shop my stash I came across this back-up, unboxed and looking a bit lonely so started using it on days were I wanted my brows looking groomed but not too defined. I'm nearing the end of my tube now so went online, as you do, to repurchase but its been discontinued!

So once again I'm on the hunt. I still love and use my Benefit Brow Zings to death but its more time cosuming and not ideal when you're in a rush. What brow setting contraptions do you lot use? I have a cheapy clear mascara that I always use for my brows but its not as good as the tinted types.

Latest In Beauty, Numero Deux.

Just a quick post before bed. I'm lovin' the little sample beauty box from Latest In Beauty, this is my 2nd box and for the cost of a quid, I'm more than happy to receive sachets (the samples arent always in sachets, sometimes they're tiny tubes/pots. Cute!). You get to pick which products you would like to try and theres always enough for more than one use. I'm not a fan of using product from a sachet, it means the sachets left unsealed and the cream goes all gunky but I've figured out an easy way around that problem and will probably do a post on it which may be pointless as I'm sure most people would have already thought of it.

The samples I chose this month are...

Lavera My Age Concentrated Lifing Serum x5

Dr.Organic Rose Otto Body Lotion x2

Lavera Eye Gel x4

I know this wont be everyones cuppa tea but if you like to try different products, like, every 5 minutes then go have a wee nosey on the site. You fill out a beauty profile, from that info they select which products would be best suited to you then you get to choose the ones you want.

Review : Liz Earle Botanical Shine Treatment.

As always, the products come perfectly wrapped with an info and product booklet.

Liz Earle Botanical Shine Treatment, £14 for 150ml.
created for those with frizzy, coarse or unruly hair. A blend of red algae, cotton extract and sumac wax has been specially selected to smooth and tame even the most unmanageable hair, and an exquisite fusion of eight essential oils, including sweet orange and rose scented geranium plus vanilla extract will leave your hair beautifully scented.

I was lucky enough to receive a tube of Botanical Shine Treatment to try out and I'm pleased to say the scent remains the same as the Botanical Shine shampoo and conditioner. The texture is similar to the dry/damaged conditioner option but somehow manages to completely work for me, whereas the conditioner didnt.

How To Use:
Massage into clean, wet hair after using Botanical Shine shampoo. Apply to midlengths and ends for 10 minutes then rinse thoroughly. For an extra boost, leave on for upto 30 minutes.

Unlike alot of hair treatments, Liz Earle Botanical Shine Treatment rinses beautifully, never leaving the hair feeling weighed down.

Naturally active ingredients include red algae to help enhance the hairs natural barrier, cotton extract to improve smoothness and sumac wax to smooth and tame even the most unmanageable hair, plus apple and orange extracts to boost shine.

I use this treatment everytime I wash my hair, in place of regular conditioner. I apply the treatment, clip my hair up while I wash/exfoliate/shave/whatever then rinse, the hair is left feeling pampered but clean. I cant stand it when treatments coat my hair with silicone, they may make your hair feel in better condition but really its not.

I'm glad Liz developed this treatment for us girlies who need some extra help. If you felt the Botanical Shine conditioner wasnt enough for your hair then give this a try. You can purchase Liz Earle products from here.

Scented Sundays #1

Back when I first started my blog I done a post about the perfumes I regretted buying (I'd bought them without smelling them first, just because I really liked the bottles). So instead of doing another post containing all the perfumes I own and love I thought it would be better to post about a different one each week, please dont expect amazing fragrance descriptions though, my nose is about as sophisticated as a brick. My faves are all different prices.. From cheap and cheerful to more expensive, and listed in no particular order.

Dior Addict 2 Summer Litchi

This fresh, floral fragrance by the house of Christian Dior arrived on the market in May 2008. The limited version of the perfume Addict 2 is created in honour of Chinese cherry known as litchi, and it celebrates summer in a bottle with charming, pink motifs. The perfume Dior Addict 2 Summer Litchi includes sparkling notes of grapefruit, with accords of the heart which seduces with notes of litchi and Turkish rose. The base notes introduce white musk. The bottle has the same shape as its pink antecedents and it represents litchi tree in pink nuances.

I've had this perfume in my collection since 2008 and this is my 4th bottle. I'm not sure of the exact price but I buy it every summer when I'm in The Perfume Shop (I think they only sell it in spring/summer and its usually on offer) I loved the bottle, thats the main reason I asked the girl on the counter to let me have a sniff, didnt expect to like it as I'm not a fan of the original Dior Addict.

Ready for my sophisticated description?
Summer Litchi smells like raspberry sparkling water to me. lol Its a lovely scent and the perfect summer fragrance, as the name suggests. I hope it never gets discontinued, summer just wouldnt be the same without it!

Have you tried this? Was it love or hate?
