June 2014: Love Me Beauty Box

It's Love Me Beauty time again! :) This month I went for Menu 1*..

Montagne Jeunesse Brazilian Mud Fabric Masque, RRP: 1 (full size): I've tried a fabric mask from Montagne Jeunesse before and really liked it. Not sure if it was the Brazilian Mud Masque but I'm excited to try it. Montagne Jeunesse is a great brand, I'm a huge fan of the De-Clog Nose Pore Strips and the products are so affordable.

NYX Nail Polish 'Winter', RRP: 3 (full size): Was looking forward to trying a nail polish from NYX but this shade isn't my cuppa tea. Tried it out on a friend and was surprised by how fast it dried but unforunately I won't get any use from it.

Model Co Shine Ultra Lip Gloss 'Fairy Floss', RRP: 12 (full size): If you read my Disappointing Products post you'll know I picked up three Model Co products when they were magazine freebies and wasn't impressed with any of them. I found the lipgloss to be very stringy but know a lot of you owned different shades and didn't have that problem so fingers crossed this one will be much better.

Beauty UK Eye Shadow Palette 'Earth Child', RRP: 3.99 (full size): Beauty UK is a brand I've never tried anything from. Based on the prices I didn't think the products would be much cop but after having a quick swatch I have to say this palette is my favourite product in the box this month. All the shades are pigmented and wearable, the quality is great for the price. Obviously not as buttery as the likes of Urban Decay and the lighter shades are a bit chalky but overall it's a great wee palette.

Urban Veda Purifying Day Cream, RRP: 14.99 (10ml sample): If you know me, you know I love anything minty and guess what? This day cream smells like straight up spearmint! :) Not only does it feel lovely and light on the skin but it's cooling too. Never heard of this brand before but now I feel like I need to try more.

What do we all think of this months box? I have to say it's not my favourite but with Love Me Beauty you're able to see the contents in all three boxes each month and skip a month if nothing takes your fancy. I more than likely would have skipped this months box but I'm really happy I got to try the Beauty UK palette and Urban Veda Purifying Day Cream.

May 2014: Love Me Beauty Box

The postie handed over my Love Me Beauty box this morning and as usual I ripped into it like a wild beast! This month I went for Menu 1*, Lets see what I got...

Raw Skincare Natural Lip Balm in 'Hint Of Mint', RRP: 1.98 (full size): I've heard a few people mention this brand now and as a mint lover, I obviously had to go for the menu containing the mint option. It contains organic coconut oil and cocoa butter and best of all, tastes/smells like After Eights.

Nail Girls Nail Polish in 'Nude Pink', RRP: 13.50 (full size): I've only tried one nail polish from Nail Girls before (review & swatches) the bottles seem to have changed since then but as far as I know the formula is still 4 Free. No Formaldehyde, Dibutyl Phthalate, Camphor or Toulene.

GO Stationery Pocket Notebook Set in 'Vintage Daisy', RRP: 5: Notebooks excite me. No idea why, they just do and as a blogger it's always handy to have one, two or in this case, three on hand. The Vintage Daisy set is adorable, I love the designs and will definitely be taking a closer look at GO Stationery.

Suti Cleanse Balm, Purity Balm and Fabulous Foot Balm Trial Pack, RRP: 6.50: Another brand I've heard lots about but never tried. Each pot contains 4ml of product which isn't much but hopefully I'll get enough uses from them to form an opinion.

Tea Pigs Chocolate Flake Tea x3, RRP: 60p (per tea bag): Chocolate Flake Tea is a mix of strong tea with a hint of rich dark chocolate. I don't drink tea, once in a blue moon I'll force myself to have a cuppa green but that's as far as it goes so these will be passed on to a tea addict.

February FeelUnique Beauty Box : Fall In Love.

So after being less than impressed with last months box and considering whether or not to keep my subscription, Feelunique have got me back on side with the contents this month. It doesnt look too exciting and some of the products have popped up in beauty boxes in the past but luckily they're all new to me. Whilst I've heard of and used all these brands before, I've never tried these particular products.

The main thing I like about Feelunique is that everyone receives the same products apart from different nail polish colours, I really wish other beauty boxes would start doing the same.

Contents:
Decleor Phytopeel Face Peel Cream, 15ml. I've wanted to try this for ages, really pleased to see it in the box.
Philip Kingsley Elasticizer, 40ml. Again, I've always wanted to try this but the price is ridiculous.
Nuxe Huile Prodigleuse Multi-Usage Dry Oil, 10ml. Smells just like Moroccan Oil but better. Had a quick play around with it lastnight, think I'm falling in love already.
Elemis Lime And Ginger Hand and Body Wash, 100ml. Elemis is one of my all time fave brands and 100ml is a decent size, impressed.
Leighton Denny Polish, 4.6ml. The colour I received  is 'Diamond Ivory', nice and natural.

There was also a sample of Jean Paul Gaultier Kokorico, which is for men so dont really get why it was thrown in but hey-ho, it was an extra.

Was everyone pleased with their box this month?

Latest In Beauty, Numero Deux.

Just a quick post before bed. I'm lovin' the little sample beauty box from Latest In Beauty, this is my 2nd box and for the cost of a quid, I'm more than happy to receive sachets (the samples arent always in sachets, sometimes they're tiny tubes/pots. Cute!). You get to pick which products you would like to try and theres always enough for more than one use. I'm not a fan of using product from a sachet, it means the sachets left unsealed and the cream goes all gunky but I've figured out an easy way around that problem and will probably do a post on it which may be pointless as I'm sure most people would have already thought of it.

The samples I chose this month are...

Lavera My Age Concentrated Lifing Serum x5

Dr.Organic Rose Otto Body Lotion x2

Lavera Eye Gel x4

I know this wont be everyones cuppa tea but if you like to try different products, like, every 5 minutes then go have a wee nosey on the site. You fill out a beauty profile, from that info they select which products would be best suited to you then you get to choose the ones you want.

October FeelUnique Beauty Box.

So, its been the battle of the beauty boxes lately but a few weeks ago was the first id heard of the one from FeelUnique.
Im already subscribed to Glossybox, last month was my first box from them & I was really pleased with everything [except the plum perfume sample] Id thought about signing up for Boudoir Prive aswell but dont like the idea of getting tea-bags etc Ive read a few reviews & the products look great but I just think it seems more suited for people a bit older than me.

Im not going to blabber on about the 'box' .. it's black, pink & gorgeous!
When i opened it the first thing I saw was a Burberry perfume sample. I cant stand getting perfume samples, anyone could go over to a perfume counter & get it for free so I dont really see the point in it but then i saw there was 6 products all together, the perfume sample wasnt mentioned on the info card, it had just been thrown in as an extra. :] Im not usually a fan of burberry but this isnt bad, quite strong but not overpowering. The theme of the October box is pre-winter warmers...

Bliss fabulous foaming face wash - 60ml.

'A two-in-one oil-free exfoliating wash for all skin types, this fresh, fruity cleanser contains rose hip extract, milk thistle, passion flower & chamomile. Splash your face & neck, massage, rinse well & follow with a moisturiser' I'd heard of all these brands, but had only tried two of them. Ive been meaning to buy this cleanser for a looooong time but im on a mission to use up all my opened products and just never got around to it. I reckon 50ml of this would last a good few weeks. full size 197mls & £18.40

TIGI Catwalk sleek Mystique Straight Collection Blow Out Balm - 90ml.

'Inspired by the mysteries of the orient, this blow out balm gives a smooth, glossy, frizz free finish without sacrificing natural fullness. for the perfect blow out, smooth balm through hair & blow-dry in sections using a round or paddle brush.' There are very few serums/balms that i actually like, most seem to make my hair feel dirty & bleh so its good that I'm getting to try this, I never would have even looked at it nevermind buy it but maybe I'll end up loving it. full size - 90ml & costs £10.35

Crabtree & evelyn India Hicks Island Living Spider Lily Ultra-Moisturising Hand Therapy - 25g.

'Escape the busy demand of your day with the exotic scent of an island paradise. A lightweight shea butter formula blended with conditioning macadamia nut oil and aloe that soothes and moisturises. A luxurious way to keep your hands soft.' I was excited to see this, Ive never tried anything from Crabtree & Evelyn and Im on a hand-cream binge at the min! £14 for 100g.

Orly Nails Lacquer -5.3ml.

'Slick on a bold hue for high impact color and shine. This exciting and durable nail colour is on trend for all occasions! Fast drying, Long-lasting, high gloss nail colours free of DBP, Formaldehyde & Toulene. Apply 2 coats after a basecoat and finish with a top coat.' Im not sure if everyone got sent the same colour but mine is called Lola, its a pretty pinky, reddy, coral. I tried this out quickly.. application is even, nice brush, nails were opaque after 2 coats & it dried really quickly but it's more of a summery colour and its almost halloween. I'll still wear it tho, even if its just on my toes. I want to try more Orly lacquers, any colours I should look out for? £8.75 for 18ml.

Caudalie Vinexpert Radiance Day Fluid SPF10 - 10ml.

'This energising fluid with SPF10 offers complete firming, protective and anti-wrinkle action along with optimum moisture to ensure a glowing complexion all day long.' Ive read good reviews about this brand so cant wait to try it. I want to use up my other moisturisers first tho so it probably wont be for a few months. Has anyone tried this before? £30.60 for 30ml.

Burberry Body Eau De Parfum - 2ml.

Not a perfume I'd buy for myself but it's definatly worth a sniff!

Theres a 10% discount code for all brands featured in this beauty box - BBOCT10 it's only valid untill 31/10/11

The FeelUnique Beauty Box is £9.95 a month. I was pleased with everything & will stay subscribed.
